Exercise; its the stuff of good health at any age. Without it, those of us who are over 55 years of age will see their health decline at a more rapid rate than those who engage in even mild activity.
OK, I am NOT a doctor, but I do agree with the medical community on this, though. As I looked at this picture, I was unprepared for that last line. I laughed when I saw it, but then, I realized that if you keep adding potatoes to those sacks that eventually it will do some good- it just may take a bit longer.
Health is about more than exercise; mental attitude, diet, and genetic predispositions take a part in it as well. With all these things, I asked myself a question: What effect does spiritual well being have upon your health? Being and staying right with God is important, because it will lead you down the correct path in life and change how you live.
Then, I thought about this passage from the book of 1st Timothy…
1 Timothy 4 ( World English Bible )
7 But refuse profane and old wives’ fables. Exercise yourself toward godliness.
8 For bodily exercise has some value, but godliness has value in all things, having the promise of the life which is now, and of that which is to come.
Even if you were to become an exercise fanatic and actually put 100 pounds of potatoes in each sack, sooner or later your body will fail; then what? We all know the answer to that question- death. Again, then what?
If one searches for God, then does their very best to obey HIS WILL in all things- heaven. Be right and stay right with God. Exercise yourself towards godliness, not just physical prowess. If you haven’t been doing this, why not start TODAY! A thousand years from now – you will be glad you did!
