Which friend of yours would you take a beating for, be mocked, slapped,
spit upon, crowned with thorns, and nailed to a tree? What is worst, is
that this was not done in private, but before the witness of enemies,
friends, and family. Jesus was not ashamed to die for us, but are we ashamed to take up our cross, and follow Him?
