LORD of all

If you have seen the Lord of the rings trilogy, then this picture will have meaning to you.  Sauron was evil incarnate.  Ever watching, ever plotting, continually working evil.  His giant eye was ever vigilant and never rested.  Within Christianity, Satan is almost his parallel, except that Satan is more powerful and more evil than Sauron could ever think of being.  So, immediately, I thought of this passage...

WEB: I Peter Chapter 5
[8] Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. [9] Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings. [10] But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. [11] To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.

If you have decided to follow Jesus, then you have made a conscious choice to have the Devil as your enemy.  He will do everything he can to get you to change your mind.  He will try to destroy you. He will attack both yourself and those you love.  Take heart, there are Christians without number that have withstood him, however and you can hold fast as well.  Remember, in the movies, Sauron was defeated and Satan will be as well in REAL LIFE!!!  Cheer up, you may have problems in this Earthly realm now, but you will have countless eons in heaven to rejoice!!!  The end of the story is that God wins because he is LORD of all, including Satan and even Sauron!!!!
