Nothing from nothing IS NOTHING!!!


The logic of the illogical is logical if you want it to be... and thus your heart is revealed.  Lately, there has been a lot of fervor over the Higgs boson particle;  you know... THE GOD PARTICLE. I have to ask myself: why is there such a fuss over this?  The only good answer that I can envision is that some very bright people can simple not accept the fact God created the universe and are driven to find an explanation that removes God completely.  While this may have the benefit of offshoot technologies, it seems to me that this is nothing less than Atheism trying to disprove God.  This passage from the Psalms seems appropriate....

Psalm 14

 1 The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.”
They are corrupt.
They have done abominable works.
There is none who does good.


  2 Yahweh looked down from heaven on the children of men,
to see if there were any who understood,
who sought after God.


  3 They have all gone aside.
They have together become corrupt.
There is none who does good, no, not one.

 Seek God and not your own wisdom!!! Nuff said!!!!

1Ch 9:19 Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brothers, of his father's house, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the thresholds of the tent: and their fathers had been over the camp of Yahweh, keepers of the entry.
1Ch 9:20 Phinehas the son of Eleazar was ruler over them in time past, and Yahweh was with him.
1Ch 9:21 Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was porter of the door of the Tent of Meeting.
1Ch 9:22 All these who were chosen to be porters in the thresholds were two hundred and twelve. These were reckoned by genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer did ordain in their office of trust.
1Ch 9:23 So they and their children had the oversight of the gates of the house of Yahweh, even the house of the tent, by wards.
1Ch 9:24 On the four sides were the porters, toward the east, west, north, and south.

OBJECTIVES IN STUDYING THIS CHAPTER

1) To see the value of love in our service to the Lord

2) To understand the scriptural definition of "love"

3) To determine when spiritual gifts would cease

SUMMARY

In the middle of his discussion on spiritual gifts, Paul describes the 
"more excellent way" of love.  After first emphasizing the importance 
of love (1-3), he then defines love by what it is and what it does 
(4-8a).  Ending with love's quality of "permanence", Paul contrasts it 
with the temporary nature of spiritual gifts.  Though such gifts 
fulfilled an important function, the time would come when they would 
cease, while qualities like faith, hope, and love would remain (8-13).
