This jet engine on wheels does say something about the future, though; we should look forward to it with a positive attitude! What lies ahead CAN be better than the past, even in our older years. The apostle Paul had become aged, and he knew he didn't have much time left, but he could still pen these words:2Ti 4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
2Ti 4:6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
2Ti 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
2Ti 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me at that day: and not to me only, but to all them also that love his appearing.
2Ti 4:9 Do thy diligence to come shortly to me:
2Ti 4:10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and hath departed to Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.

I find it interesting that even though Paul had accomplished more than most of us ever will, that he was looking forward to life AFTER DEATH. Something better was waiting for him, something worth waiting for, something he had wanted all his life. This something was actually to be in the presence of God; to fellowship with God on an eternal basis. Now that I think of it, that's way better than some souped up wheel chair, but I can't help but wonder what God would say about this contraption, anyway? Perhaps... Vroom, Vroom?
