Everything is fast today- and getting faster. This is true! We have to multitask our multitasking while thinking about more things to do. Everywhere we look technology is upon us; it has invaded every aspect of our lives and in many instances has replaced human contact. Irritating, isn't it??? Doesn't bother you; then call up a major company for some help. When you have gone through ten minutes of phone "trees" and then put on hold for half an hour, THEN you will be bothered!!!! However, we all have twenty-four hours each day and we do need to prioritize. Think about the following things that should be near the top of your "list"...
Colossians, Chapter 4
2 Continue steadfastly in prayer, watching therein with thanksgiving; 3 praying together for us also, that God may open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds; 4 that I may reveal it as I ought to speak. 5 Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. 6 Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.
Make no mistake- I am the last person to tell you NOT TO USE TECHNOLOGY. It is just that the things pertaining to God should come first and not somewhere past the tenth item on your to-do list. Want to get more done - Pray and ask for help. God won't put you off; he will help!!! I wonder... does God have a computer?
