Take my pen, PLEASE?

I collect pens.  I pick them up from every possible source you could think of; friends, relatives, stores of all kinds and anywhere and everywhere I have a chance.  Once I get them, I usually put them in an old coffee cup and stash them somewhere.  Once in while, I raid one of the many cups when I actually NEED a pen.  Giving them away is usually NOT an option.  But, what if someone took one of them and used it.  I wonder how I would feel about THAT?  Hopefully, like Paul felt about his "GOOD NEWS" in the following passage...

WEB: Philippians Chapter 1
[12] Now I desire to have you know, brothers, that the things which happened to me have turned out rather to the progress of the Good News; [13] so that it became evident to the whole palace guard, and to all the rest, that my bonds are in Christ; [14] and that most of the brothers in the Lord, being confident through my bonds, are more abundantly bold to speak the word of God without fear. [15] Some indeed preach Christ even out of envy and strife, and some also out of good will. [16] The former insincerely preach Christ from selfish ambition, thinking that they add affliction to my chains; [17] but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the Good News. [18] What does it matter? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed. I rejoice in this, yes, and will rejoice.

Seems a little odd at first, but Paul's most precious possession was meant to be given away.  This made him happy!!! He didn't care WHY people gave it away, he was just happy that they did!  Why?  Because he knew the blessing in what Christ could do in someone's life and the hope of heaven.  I like the idea so much that maybe I will even change my ways?  As soon as I find these pens in a store, I intend to put some in a cup right next to the front door.  I may even put a little sign on it saying "take one, PLEASE".  No, who am I kidding, I can't do that... I would put a Bible underneath it instead.
