Well, I learned something today: Turtles really can climb fences! Why? Because they want something on the other side- that's why! And, by the looks of what it takes, they must REALLY want it!!
Now, this is cute and all, but how does something like this apply to us?

23 And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
If you love God, you will do EVERYTHING you can to please HIM- this means W-O-R-K!!! Often, there are no S-H-O-R-T-C-U-T-S, there is simply the work before us. We know from experience that long-term rewards require long-term EFFORT. But, in this world, our reward is our relationship with God and that fills our life with LOVE. More than that, we have HOPE of something better; in a word - HEAVEN!!!
In a limited way, we are all turtles and we must go beyond what we think we can do- and accomplish more than even our imagination can conceive.
I wonder how big our next chain-link fence will be?
