I thought this sign would make a great post because its true. Or, is it? When I went to copy vss. 12-23, I quickly noticed there were only 19 verses in chapter 3 of Hebrews. So, I said to myself- "Choose something else"!!! Then, I realized that there was a double message to this sign- one for us all and one especially for myself. So, I X'd out the 2 and used it anyway.

Hebrews, Chapter 3 (World English Bible)
12 Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God; 13 but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called “today”; lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our confidence firm to the end: 15 while it is said,
“Today if you will hear his voice,
don’t harden your hearts, as in the rebellion.”
“Today if you will hear his voice,
don’t harden your hearts, as in the rebellion.”
16 For who, when they heard, rebelled? No, didn’t all those who came out of Egypt by Moses? 17 With whom was he displeased forty years? Wasn’t it with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness? 18 To whom did he swear that they wouldn’t enter into his rest, but to those who were disobedient? 19 We see that they were not able to enter in because of unbelief.

2 Timothy, Chapter 2 (World English Bible)
15 Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth.
Obviously, the Scripture reference in the sign should have been 3:12-13. I am glad I caught the mistake, but it was a reminder to myself that I should continue to be careful how I handle God's word.
More than just using The Word of God, I need to listen to it and obey it. And this is a WARNING to us all. If someone as great as Moses could be punished for not faithfully obeying God- what about us???
