Perfect peace by Gary Rose

In a world full of pressures, stress and turmoil, wouldn't it be nice to be like this little mouse? Recently, I have been thinking about the "new heavens and new earth" from the book of Revelation (and of course, the book of Isaiah as well [Isa 65:17; 66:22]) and wondering what it would be like to experience the awe and wonder of actually being able to see with my own eyes the fulfillment of a new creation.

However, the reality of life came back to me in a flash; that is, I am living in the "here and now", not the "there and then"! So, what do I do? Then, two words came to the forefront of my thoughts- Shalom, Shalom!! These two Hebrew words when used together mean literally "Perfect Peace".

The heavenly peacefulness exhibited in the mouse picture can be ours if we do but one thing- TRUST IN GOD!

Isaiah says...

Isaiah, Chapter 26 (World English Bible)
 1 In that day, this song will be sung in the land of Judah:
“We have a strong city. God appoints salvation for walls and bulwarks.
  2 Open the gates, that the righteous nation may enter:
the one which keeps faith.
  3 You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you. (Emphasis added vs. 3)
  4 Trust in Yahweh forever;
for in Yah, Yahweh, is an everlasting Rock.

No, Gary,- You can't change the world, BUT you can TRUST IN GOD! In HIM you will find peace; a peace like no other, something that is heavenly and enduring. Life can be very, very GOOD!!!
