Right
about now, you are probably thinking; what in the world is Gary
doing, presenting a snowy picture one day before the 4th
of July? Well, the answer to that question is yet another question:
What day wouldn’t you want to be thankful for?
And,
as I looked at this wintertime scene, I thought of those Cardinals,
their stunning beauty and how marvelous that snow looked, I looked
once again at the title and thought- you know, Gary, there is another
side to blessing and immediately thought of the following passage of
Scripture…
Ephesians
1 ( World English
Bible )
Eph 1:3, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly
places in Christ;
Eph 1:4, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the
world, that we would be holy and without blemish before him in love;
Eph 1:5, having predestined us for adoption as children through Jesus
Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire,
Eph 1:6, to the praise of the glory of his grace, by which he freely
bestowed favor on us in the Beloved,
Eph 1:7, in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the
forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,
God
has given us more than just today, HE has given us everything we hold
dear. Because of this, we should do as the apostle Paul did; THANK
HIM! For today’s BLESSING is far more than just appreciating God’s
gifts, it is our response to HIM. Do we thank and praise God for what
he has done for us? We are spiritual creatures and should think that
way. Today, I encourage you to both appreciate this day of life, but
also to say as Paul did...
Eph 1:3, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly
places in Christ;
For
that is…
The
other side of today’s blessing
